Radio India Ministries

On a sultry February 2005 night Pastor Abraham Eliphaz Motakatla of Calvary Chapel India Ministries (CCIM) took missionary Bill Liniewicz on top of the three story Bible college / sanctuary building and said “Bill, the Lord has placed on my heart that we will build a radio recording studio here some day.” Bill responded “Pastor the Lord has it on my heart over the past few years to start a AM/FM radio broadcasting station in India.” A month later with God clearing the way, authorization was given to build the first Christian Radio facility on India soil and “Radio India Ministries” was born.

The plan is: #1 to get the broadcast permit ($26,000) paid ASAP, #2 get a suitcase 300 watt transmitter setup (additional $10,000) to immediately start broadcasting God’s Word reaching -75 miles, #3 Concentrate on funding for full power facility that will cover 150-200 miles and reach 45,000,000-50,000,000 people. As the Lord leads we would then start another suitcase operation in an adjacent state to perhaps be the start of a “CSN” of Asia.

Pastor Abraham and his ministry staff were invited to take a tour  of a government radio broadcast facility, and was even told by the workers exactly the kind of equipment Bill and him would need to get transmitting.

Jon Yinger of Christian Satellite Broadcasting had the vision of getting cheap transistor radios fixed to our broadcast frequencies to be given out to the natives that can the listen in the protection of their own huts and homes without fear or intimidation to God's Word and Classical Worship songs in their own languages. this will lead ten's of thousands to the Lord.

Brian Larson of Christian radio in New York had it put on his heart by the Lord that they should get the broadcast permit paid ASAP and get a suitcase transmitter to start operating off the top of the Bible College / Sanctuary building to start broadcasting immediately. Then as they are sending God's Word through the airwaves of India, they can concentrate on funds and building the main facility that will cover ~150 miles and reach 45,000,000-50,000,000 people. We will then work with other ministries in other areas of India (and other adjacent countries) to establish a radio network similar to the Calvary Satellite Network (CSN) we have here in the US.

 God Bless
